January 09, 2009
THIS FRIDAY:
We start 2009 back in the East Room of Tony’s Old Place. Our program will feature the business of Panera Bread and their manager, local boy, Ron Frillman. Ron is the son of our former city councilman, also named Ron Frillman. (That was smooth, huh?) Anyway, join us to learn something new, have a little fun, and to get your weekend started the right way!

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
“I joined the Quincy Exchange Club because…” I’m interested in hearing how you would finish this sentence. I’ll check with a few of you and print here in the weeks ahead. Think about it.
THIS & THAT:
I love that the kids get a long Christmas break but I also love sending them back to school. Darn kids stay up too late and disrupt my sleep. Man, I’m getting old… Hope you and your family had a great Christmas and safe New Year’s Eve. May 2009 bring you and your family nothing but peace, love, and joy… So I’m talking to Ric Hinkamper after church this past Sunday and he tells me he didn’t know we had a weekly bulletin – he’s been a member since March, 2007! Never received an Exchangite! He’s on the list now but if you sponsored a new member over the past couple of years, please check with them to make sure they are getting an Exchangite. This old rag ain’t the greatest but every once in a while we have something worth reading… Looking forward to the next six months of the President Art Awerkamp administration. The first six were good, hope the next six are even better… That's all for now, 'til next time, may God’s love, grace, and peace be with you and the ones you love.
My thanks for Dennis Koch and Charlie Ledbetter for sharing the photos.
