MACKER MEETING THURSDAY EVENING (4/16)

All members are invited to attend the next Macker meeting – this Thursday evening, April 16th, at the Knights of Columbus. 5:15 p.m. start.

THIS FRIDAY

One of our own, Hal Broadwater, will present a program on the rising problem of identity theft. How about these two quick facts on the issue - every three seconds someone’s identity is stolen in the United States and it is the largest crime in America from a revenue standpoint, it even exceeds the drug trade. Wow! Join us Friday to learn how you can avoid and lesson the effects of identity theft.

NO MEETING FRIDAY LAST

Hope you enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” From the big guy, Jesus, in John 20. I think most of you would agree a fitting quote considering this time of Easter joy for Christians everywhere!

THIS & THAT

Two road trips on the horizon, next Friday (4/24) we’ll meet at the Curtis Creek Retirement Center (or as President Art Awerkamp says, “Max’s house”) to dedicate a new Freedom Shrine. Then, on the following Friday (5/1), we’ll meet at Tony’s Too on the east end of town. Jim Mentesti from GREDF will be our speaker on that date. When we return to the East Room on 5/8, we’ll present the Book of Golden Deeds Award… If you have a Macker court sponsor sheet out, please return to Vic Welper ASAP. Also time to recruit a Gus Buster or two… Can you believe that President Art is down to about a dozen meetings remaining in his term? Hasn’t been nearly as bad as we anticipated… The Kevin Curran Administration has already started the planning process and is waiting in the wings… How about them Cards and Cubs? Should be a great weekend in Chicago as the two teams meet for the first time this season… 50/50 and tail twister to resume this Friday… That's all for now, 'til next time, may God’s love, grace, and peace be with you and the ones you love.
